yummy
I had a dream last night that I got bit by a black widow. What the heck does that mean?! It was so real too. It bit me by my ankle and its mouth was stuck in my leg. She couldn't let go. Then I smashed her and she had two legs still attached to her body that was still biting me. I didn't know what to do so I got ice and tried to freeze the venom in the spot it was at. Weird. That doesn't make sense. Anyways...
The weekend up at The Gorge was awesome. We had a great time! I am happy to be home though. Drinking for three days will do it to you. We managed to stay strict paleo the entire weekend and no cheats! Go us! Well minus the beer. But seriously, there were girls in bikinis walking around and gave us a free pass for beer all weekend. Free? Would you say no? I didn't think so. And if you stayed in the tent area, you could win a cruise. For free. No ties. I tried so hard and gave it my best effort each day and didn't win shit. Lame. So look at Scott with these ladies. After this day they put on shirts. You can clearly see why...
So Dave Matthews was great, it was super fun to spend time with the family and have Scott there with me too! My dad is one of the funniest people I know. My mom is awesome, she sure likes to have a good time. We can call her the social butterfly. On the last day we had a water balloon toss while we were tailgating. That was fun. Emily (my sister) didn't think it was fun when she got hosed. But that's the price you pay. Ha. Here's a couple more photos for your entertainment. One thing that was cool was that they had turkey legs. That was the ONLY paleo thing to eat there and frankly I was surprised that they had that. Its funny because most every event we have gone to this summer has been CrossFit. So there has been good food. Thank goodness we had an awesome menu while we were up there! Ate like kings and queens!

The flys are so annoying right now. Its getting cooler so they are getting slower and landing on everything and bugging the bageezers out of me. Thank goodness I can catch them in my hands. Sometimes. That's the key word here. But when I do, its like a super big deal. I get pretty stoked on it.
I don't have an exciting recipe for you guys today. We drove 10 hours and didn't get home till past 8:00pm and I wasn't feeling like be a chef master. So I figure you all know how to make stir fry. But you forgot that you love it, and so I inspired you to make it because its delicious and easy.
Classic Chicken Stir Fry
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, diced into bite size pieces
1 red onion, sliced
1 cup sliced carrots
1 cup sliced broccoli
1 cup sliced celery
2 tbsp coconut oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 can water chestnuts, sliced
4 tbsp coconut aminos
salt & pepper to taste
dash of crushed red peppers
In your pan start your chicken and cook until almost done, 5-7 minutes. Add your vegetables and garlic. Let saute for about 8 minutes and add coconut aminos, red pepper and salt & pepper. Cook until the vegetables are done to your desire. I prefer mine a little crunchy still.
Enjoy!
