What a weekend! Today is the first day of the month, you know what that means...Paleo Challenge has begun! I am not looking forward to weighing myself today. I ate like poop all weekend. Oh well. I'm human, therefore I can make mistakes. Ha. So if you all want to do this challenge with me it started today! I can help you out with ideas for recipes and there are a gagillion different blogs around with great recipes as well!!
Rogue gets a bath today. It should be interesting on how he handles it. He smells. Ew. I'll keep you posted.
I worked for Jager this weekend at the Oktoberfest in Jacksonville, OR. It was pretty fun! Jenelle and myself told everyone we were twins cause people think that anyways. It was awesome. We were the Jager twins! We had to wear heels for three hours. That doesn't seem that bad, but seriously, my middle toe on my left foot is still numb. It was cool though, we had a ton of swag to hand out. I made people do work for them. Push ups, jumping jacks, singing, jokes, any sort of special talents were to be revealed. I'm not trying to be mean, but people need to work on their special skills! I wasn't very impressed.
See, we are twins minus I have a flat chest. haha. |
So this side dish was paired with the ribs I made last week. They were so yummy! Savory and creamy. MMM...
Garlic Cauli Mashers
3 heads of cauliflower, stems removed and cut into sizable pieces
2 tbsp minced garlic
3 tbsp pasturized butter
salt & pepper to taste
Bring a stock pot of water to boil and add in your cauliflower florets. Boil until soft, 15-20 minutes. Let cool and put into your food processor until a super creamy, smooth consistancy is produced.
Put back in pot and mix in garlic, butter and salt & pepper. I put into a pyrex baking dish and baked for 25 minutes at 350F to reheat.
Seriously takes a lot like real mashed taters!!
