AHHH!!!
Okay, so this is my first blog post. I'm kinda nervous. I get nervous about everything right before I do it, then once I start I'm okay as in super stoked, loving it, then its over and I'm like what?! That wasn't THAT bad. I can thank my mom for that trait. She's a worrywart in the best way possible.
So Scott and I just got back from the 2012 Crossfit Games in Carson, CA. I don't even know how to describe what it was like to see these athletes in that sort of caliber. Okay, I guess I can.
To watch them give every workout EVERY last bit of themselves was truly amazing. They are all so physically and mentally strong. It was awesome.
I totally thought that watching the ladies battle it out was going to be the intense part, which it was very competitive indeed, but watching the mens individuals was crazy. These men are SO strong and a lot of the time they were all so close, you just knew it was pushing them even harder.
I have a girl crush on Christmas Abbott. She was a judge at the games, she has AMAZING legs. I'd say I want to look like her, but I wont cause I know that will never happen...soooo I just want to be the best fit me, BFM! :)) If I were to choose a man from the games with the best physique it'd be Mr. Neal Maddox. He has pretty muscles. Haha!
Last night was my first night back at the gym since last Thursday.
It was killer. Practiced my snatch form, and did some back-squats. I love back-squats. Conditioning was rough, 20 wall-balls and 100M heavy carry. Coach Jason was being a stiffler so he made me feel bad about only wanting to do 1 pood. So I grabbed the 45lb dumbbells. My grip sucked on my left hand. Couldn't barely hold onto the sucker! Happy I pushed myself though. :))
Okay, so for my first recipe I think its gonna have to be these fabulous delectable waffles. I made them last night for dinner. Scott put fried eggs on top of his (weirdo).
Last Nights Feast! |
First Attempt at Pancakes |
Blueberry Coconut Waffles
4 eggs
1 cup canned coconut milk
1 tablespoon raw honey
1/2 cup coconut flour
1/4 cup shaved coconut
1 teaspoon baking soda
dash of sea salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup fresh blueberries
spray coconut oil (makes life easier with the waffle maker)
Toppings : I put some almond butter and organic maple syrup (only 1 tblspoon cause its a whoppin 13.5g of sugar per tblspoon)
Turn your waffle maker on and cook these babys! I'm sure every waffle maker is different. Ours has a fancy light that turns on to tell me they are done, easy peasy! You could also make these as pancakes! I just like waffles better.
Enjoy!!
